{"id":4221,"date":"2026-05-22T09:28:56","date_gmt":"2026-05-22T07:28:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/galmallorca.org\/?p=4221"},"modified":"2026-05-22T09:28:56","modified_gmt":"2026-05-22T07:28:56","slug":"galp-mallorca-joins-a-shared-voice-for-the-future-of-fishing-territories","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/galmallorca.org\/en\/galp-mallorca-joins-a-shared-voice-for-the-future-of-fishing-territories\/","title":{"rendered":"GALP Mallorca joins a shared voice for the future of fishing territories"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center has-vivid-cyan-blue-color has-text-color has-link-color has-medium-font-size wp-elements-5b0c61e4061ff34c10d5c8e9935acf1f wp-block-paragraph\">Fisheries Local Action Groups defend the key role of EMFAF and community-led local development for the future of coastal communities<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In L\u2019Escala, Fisheries Local Action Groups from across the country gathered to make a shared voice visible: the defense of community-led local development as a key tool for the future of fishing territories.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Through this joint photograph and the collectively promoted manifesto, we highlight the importance of continuing to support collaboration models rooted in the territory, built on proximity, cooperation, and the participation of local stakeholders.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Currently, this work is driven thanks to European EMFAF funds, which are essential for developing initiatives that strengthen the social, economic, and fisheries fabric of our coastal communities. With this joint action, we also advocate for the continuation and reinforcement of this model within the framework of upcoming funding programmes.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Without European funds there is no fishing. Without fishing there are no fishers.
